The Division of Prevention and Community Health works to improve the health of the people in Washington state by collaborating with our internal and external partners to enhance the health of individuals, families and communities and eliminate health inequities. Our goal is to prevent disease, and promote healthy start, healthy choices, and access to services.

 

As a Health Service Consultant, you will provide coordination and reporting support to the Maternal & Child Health (MCH) Block Grant and serve as the state coordinator for the Child Fatality Review & Prevention Program initiatives that enhance the health and well-being of families and communities across Washington State. You’ll also work to foster collaborative relationships with local and national health partners. Your efforts in this work will help prevent disease, reducing health inequities, and promoting healthy choices for all.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

 

Lead coordination activities for the Child Death Review and Prevention Program (CDRP), coordinating with local health teams, the National Center for Fatality Review, and other key partners.
Develop and maintain a web-based Lifecourse Learning platform for Local Health Jurisdictions.
Manage and facilitate a statewide Child Death Review Community of Practice.
Lead and manage collaborative processes for developing state Child Death Review and Prevention reports and recommendations
Manage and implement the workplan for CDRP, in conjunction with other project plans related to CDRP such as other fatality review projects
Coordinate the MCH Block Grant process, supporting needs assessments, and reporting.
Lead quality improvement work to address the annual report summary recommendations
