As an IT Project Manager, you will champion crucial IT initiatives within the Public Health Laboratory, focusing particularly on projects vital to COVID recovery. We’re seeking a seasoned project manager equipped with a profound grasp of project management fundamentals, acquired through extensive real-world experience. Your challenge will be to navigate through complex, high-stakes projects that not only span across various departments but also intersect with other enterprises and divisions. Your role is pivotal in guiding these projects to fruition, leveraging your in-depth expertise to manage the intricacies of project planning, consultations, and the oversight of significant contracts and enterprise-wide systems. These systems are often at the cutting edge, incorporating new technologies and are central to the execution of comprehensive IT strategies affecting a broad array of business partners.

 

In this position, you’ll do more than just oversee projects. You’ll be instrumental in forging strong alliances with partners and agencies, communicating effectively, and making informed decisions to advance IT solutions. Your broad knowledge across areas such as Business Analysis, Quality Assurance Testing, Application Development, Data Management, and System Administration will be vital as you mentor and lead teams to deliver on development projects within time and budget constraints. Your contributions in this role will directly support the Department of Health’s mission, enhancing the management of complex and high-risk projects, optimizing resource deployment, and uplifting project quality through the adoption of IT project management best practices.
