As an Operations Manager (MA4), reporting to the Deputy Executive Director, you will play a pivotal role in providing consultative support to executive management on health professions strategic planning, performance improvement, and business practice improvement. You’ll develop comprehensive project plans and supporting tools (communication plans, risk and decision logs, charters, etc.) to ensure that business efforts such as process improvement, legislation implementation, and rulemaking are implemented systematically to meet set deadlines.

 

These business projects frequently have multiple stakeholders such as technical staff, program staff, and board and commission members; and occasionally involve interested members of the public.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Leading multi-faceted, complex, and highly visible business projects on health professions and facilities specific projects.
Developing and coordinating section-wide strategic planning and performance management activities.
Leading and supporting programs quality improvement activities; applying LEAN principles to improve quality, timeliness, efficiency, and effectiveness within the office, representing the program to stakeholders, external customers, and external government agencies.
Managing Pharmacy Quality Assurance Commission (PQAC) business functions and coordinating the development of standard business processes and practices.
Supervising staff within the operations unit.
