We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and technically skilled Remote Medical Billing & Coding Specialist to support our expanding healthcare operations. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate coding, efficient claims processing, and full compliance with payer and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical abilities, a thorough understanding of billing systems, and the capability to work independently in a remote environment.

You will be responsible for reviewing clinical documentation, assigning correct CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes, managing claim submissions, troubleshooting denials, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth billing workflows. This position is best suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, delivers high-quality work, and is committed to maintaining accuracy and integrity in all billing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately assign CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes to medical services and documentation
Prepare, submit, and track insurance claims with precision and timeliness
Investigate and resolve claim denials and discrepancies
Maintain compliance with payer rules, HIPAA requirements, and regulatory guidelines
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate documentation and billing workflows
Maintain thorough and organized billing records and reports
Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance claim efficiency.

Qualifications:

Certification in Medical Billing & Coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent preferred)
Minimum of 1 year of billing/coding experience in a clinical or healthcare environment
Strong understanding of insurance guidelines, reimbursement practices, and federal coding standards
Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and time-management abilities
Proficiency with EMR/EHR and billing software platforms
Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a remote setting.
