THIS IS A STATEWIDE RECRUITMENT. THE INCUMBENT WILL BE HEADQUARTERED IN THE COUNTY NEAREST THEIR RESIDENCE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES: Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, Contra Costa, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Sonoma, Butte, Sacramento, Fresno, Kern, San Bernardino, San Diego

In close partnership with a multi-disciplinary team, the Health Program Specialist I (HPS I) will

Serve as the Local and Community Support Specialist (LCS Specialist),
Facilitate local and community engagement and capacity building, with a specific focus on program planning and coordination for the California Accountable Communities for Health Initiative (CACHI),
Work with CACHI leadership and advisors to support program planning and implementation and oversee contract provisions; facilitating state, local, and community engagement to support alignment across state and local priorities and infrastructure, and
Conduct a variety of tasks related to day-to-day coordination of program activities and grant administration.

The attached duty statement indicates whether this position is eligible for telework. All employees who telework are required to be California residents in accordance with Government Code 14200, and may be required to report to a CDPH office, when needed. Candidates who reside outside of the state of California may be interviewed; however, the selected candidate must have a primary residency in the state of California prior to appointment (and continue to maintain California residency) as a condition of employment. Failure to meet this requirement may result in the job offer being rescinded.
