Overview

The successful candidate will work across multiple studies on study implementation activities in order to meet all protocol obligations while following ICH/GCP guidelines and departmental/institutional standard operating procedures. General activities include, but are not limited to: start-up activities, launch activities, day to day management of a study, data coding and analysis, and study closure activities. Previous experience in clinical research or health care related field preferred. Some evening and weekend hours may be required to accommodate data collection efforts.

Specific activities may include:

  • Participant screening; recruitment; consent; in-person, virtual, and over the phone data collection (e.g., interviews, online surveys)
  • Intervention implementation
  • Creation of source documents to facilitate systematic data collection and record keeping
  • Standard operating procedure (SOP) development
  • Assistance with quality improvement initiatives.

The Behavioral Trials Office (BTO) at Nationwide Children's Hospital works with investigators and research teams throughout the Abigail Wexner Research Institute and Nationwide Children’s Hospital to support our mission of providing efficient coordination of diverse behaviorally-focused clinical research, including behavioral intervention trials (e.g., lifestyle, medication adherence, family communication, biofeedback, safe driving technology) and observational research (e.g., predictors of quality of life, psychosocial outcomes). Our work spans a variety of pediatric departments (e.g., clinical therapies, developmental and behavioral pediatrics, neurology, psychology) and developmental stages (e.g., infancy, adolescence).
