Overview

As an IT Business Analyst & Software Quality Assurance Tester with the Public Health Laboratory IT Services (PHLITS) team, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the Department of Health’s mission to protect and improve the health of Washington State residents. Reporting directly to the IT Business Analyst & Software Quality Assurance Test Supervisor, you’ll be part of a dedicated team that implements and manages systems essential for COVID-19 recovery efforts. Your work will have a significant impact, not just within the department, but across the state and even at the federal level, influencing local health jurisdictions, laboratories, hospitals, clinics, and the CDC.

 

What You Will Do:

In this position, you will independently apply your IT Business Analysis and Quality Assurance Testing skills, ensuring the successful achievement of the agency’s goals. You’ll take the lead in providing technical expertise, managing software requirements, and conducting thorough testing to uphold the highest standards of accuracy and quality in our enterprise systems. You will also have the opportunity to mentor fellow business and technical analysts, sharing your insights and best practices. You will elicit, analyze, document, test, and validate software requirements to drive our projects forward.
