Job Description and Duties
This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by performing a wide variety of the most difficult and complex duties associated with achieving the goals of the Injury & Illness Prevention Program in accordance with Title 8, California Code of Regulations (CCR), Subchapter 7, Sections 3203 & 3204.

Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager II, Section Chief of the Statewide Infrastructure Support Services. The incumbent plans, conducts, and evaluates a comprehensive environmental and occupational health and safety program to promote a safe working environment and a disaster prevention program. Implements, conducts, and evaluates health and safety-related training programs and is responsible for risk assessment of safety issues as they relate to and impact staff care, buildings, grounds, and occupants.
