Job Description and Duties
The Health Facilities Evaluator Manager II (HFEM II) supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by overseeing the review, evaluation, inspection, and certification of health facilities and agencies and their compliance with state and federal laws and regulations and investigation of complaints. The HFEM II is responsible for carrying out program activities in the region for facilities and agencies under the jurisdiction of the Center. The HFEM II ensures that all department and program mandates, policies, and procedures are carried out in an appropriate and consistent manner. Up to 20% travel is required to attend statewide meetings, conferences, and field activities.
The incumbent works under the general direction of the Field Operations Branch Chief.
A hybrid telework schedule may be available for this position, in accordance with CDPH’s Telework Policy and Procedures.
The attached duty statement indicates whether this position is eligible for telework. All employees who telework are required to be California residents in accordance with Government Code 14200 and may be required to report to a CDPH office, when needed. Candidates who reside outside of the state of California may be interviewed; however, the selected candidate must have a primary residency in the state of California prior to appointment (and continue to maintain California residency) as a condition of employment. Failure to meet this requirement may result in the job offer being rescinded.
